July 2021 – Barb Kroll

It’s been a while since we had a volunteer spotlight! This month we are highlighting the spectacular Barb Kroll! Barb is a volunteer nurse here at the clinic and has been with us for the past 2 years! Barb loves the camaraderie between all of the volunteers, and enjoys learning new things with each patient experience. When asked what motivated her to volunteer she said “Life can throw us challenges that we must wade through to find what our purpose on this earth is. I have been a volunteer EMT for the Montfort Rescue Squad community since 1987 and a RN since 2003. I happened to stumble upon the opportunity to volunteer my skills to this wonderful organization at Community Connections Free Clinic. To be able to help folks in our community that are unable to financially receive medical care because of their own personal life challenges is very fulfilling and has given my life purpose.”

Barb, from everyone at CCFC, we are so incredibly grateful for everything you do for the clinic. From your banana cake to your jokes, you put a smile on everyone’s face. Thank you so much!
